AMB Warehouse - MC010300, Cranbury, NJSITE-BLAUVELT Engineers was commissioned by the project developer to provide testing and inspection services during the construction of this 750,000 SF warehouse facility located in the Forsgate Industrial Center. Aspects of construction that our staff was responsible for monitoring included: placement of concrete for the footings, piers, walls, floor slab and loading dock aprons; and the erection of structural steel including, plumbness, bolted connections and welds. To ensure achievement of the stringent quality and durability standards that were established for the 5-inch thick floor slab, ACI-certified technicians were assigned to gather floor flatness and levelness measurements using a DIPSTICK floor profiler. To ensure the quality of concrete material being used, our technicians performed slump and air-entrainment tests, molded cylinder specimens for compressive strength testing in our AASHTO/ASTM-accredited laboratory, checked its flexural strength, and monitored the water-cement ratios and batch proportions being used. |
