	I-64/Mercury Boulevard Interchange, City of Hampton, VA SITE-BLAUVELT Engineers was engaged as the lead design engineer for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) on this complex and highly challenging project in eastern Virginia which will involve the reconstruction of 4 kilometers of interstate highway. Having an estimated construction cost of $40 million, design work was performed for the addition of two HOV lanes on I-64, auxiliary lanes on the outside of the existing lanes, and the reconfiguration of an existing interchange at Mercury Boulevard that will include two loops, four high-speed ramps and five fly-over structures.
