Further diversifying our involvement in the inspection and testing field, SITE-BLAUVELT has established itself as one of the leading providers of resident engineering, construction inspection and materials testing services to transportation agencies and local municipalities throughout PA, NJ, NY, VA, SC, OH, WV, MD, GA and DE. Our inspection staff encompasses nearly 300 construction professionals and is largely comprised of NICET- and ACI-certified individuals.

Of a related nature, SITE-BLAUVELT has developed a specialized expertise with respect to the inspection of precast / prestressed concrete fabrication plants whereby the quality of fabricated concrete products is closely monitored. Typical products that are produced by these plants include: prestressed bridge beams, box beams and I-beams; precast inlets and drainage units; precast median barriers; reinforced concrete pipe; precast box culverts; and precast noise wall panels.

Services that are routinely provided by our technicians under such contracts include: completion of quality assurance inspections and documentation of the fabrication process; performance of acceptance tests (i.e., slump, air-content, temperature and yield tests on concrete, three-edge bearing tests on concrete pipe, observation of compressive strength tests on concrete cylinders, aggregate gradation and moisture tests); submittal of weekly progress reports; and exercising control over materials and workmanship to ensure conformance to applicable specifications.
